![]() The main reason we incorporated Seattle in our travels was to take in a tour of the Boeing Factory at Everett. This was an interesting tour where you can see various stages of aircraft being built.
Photos or video recording is not permitted on the tour. There are other stipulations, children must be a certain height to go on the tour for safety reasons. Check out the Boeing Visitor website for further information. www.boeingtours.com |
Seattle, Washington State Seattle is a cosmopolitan city and there are some great places to see. The Space Needle observatory has a fabulous view over the city. If you are a fan of the television series Frasier you will know that Frasier has a view of the Space Needle from his apartment. Not so, couldn't find any apartment buildings nearby with that view. The Space Needle was built in 1962 for the World’s Fair during that time 20,000 people a day used these elevators. There is a gift shop and restaurant at the top. www.spaceneedle.com |
Pike Markets
If you are in Seattle make sure you visit the “Pike Markets.” There is a vast array of fresh seafood, the stall holders even put on a show sometimes throwing the fish to one another. There is fresh produce, a farmers market, and the breads, cakes and pastries are superb. The fresh fruit here is some of the best we have seen including huge strawberries. |
