Perth is quite a distance from the east coast of Australia but is very much a cosmopolitan city with plenty of appeal of its own. It is set on the Swan River and is very picturesque. The thing I love about Perth is it is so clean and has a nice feel about it.
There is great shopping to be had in downtown Perth and many restaurants and cafe’s if you want to grab a coffee and relax while the world passes you by. Kings Park in Perth is a large leisure area with a lookout over the city with fantastic views.
Western Australia is well known for its wildflowers and puts on a spectacular display.
National Parks and native bushland surround Perth Hills and the Swan Valley.

Perth has some great beaches, Cottesloe is my favorite and only 15 minutes from the city. Watch a beautiful sunset from Cottesloe over the Indian Ocean.
Many Perth cafe’s have free wi fi, see list below.

If you feel like trying some amazing wines you can venture down to Margaret River where there are many fine wineries.

A 40 minute ferry will have you in Rottenest Island, diving, snorkeling and coral reefs all add to the thrill of Rottenest Island. Bicycles are the best way to get around as it is a car free zone.
