We stayed at this charming B&B in the quaint medieval town of Sarlat-la-Caneda in the beautiful Dordogne region of France.
On arrival  we were met by the delightful owners an English couple who run this elegant and well appointed hotel. The rooms are are spacious, tastefully decorated, air conditioned and have a modern en suite bathroom.

We chose a room with elegant lemon wallpaper, matching antique style furniture and french windows  that open onto a iron lace balcony and French flower box overlooking The Square Du 8 Mai 1945.

A very thoughtful touch is a  kitchenette area off the first floor where guests can make tea and coffee 24/7.  There is also a fridge with complimentary bottled water, soft drinks, and beer.  Guests are also offered a large selection of biscuits, chocolate bars and other treats if you get a bit peckish after exploring this amazing town.

Breakfast consists of a large selection of the best
croissants, delicious Baguette we have ever tasted, Pain au chocolat. cereals, fruits, cheeses, cold meats and a variety of eggs cooked to order.  Freshly squeezed orange juice and brewed tea and coffee leave you satisfied and ready for a day of exploring the area.

As you can guess we enjoyed our four nights in this amazing little corner of heaven in the Dordogne. We feel as though we are leaving friends.

The security is great, guests have keypad access to the hotel.  A large carpark is located a short distance from the hotel which is free.  There is also metered parking closer to the hotel.

The hotel is a short walk to the main shopping area and the old town, a fairytale town, with beautiful medieval builidngs and shops.

You will be spoilt for choice with restaurants and cafe’s in the area.  Make sure you try the Duck Confit a speciality around town and many varieties of crepes are on offer.
