Chateau Lake Louise is one of the hotels of the Luxury Fairmont Group. Step inside the foyer and you will think you are going back in time to old fashioned style and grace.
We were in a suite that had windows looking out over Lake Louise with a Glacier at the far end. The rooms are opulent and tastefully decorated, the beds so comfy and inviting and the bathrooms very elegant with marble bench tops and gold taps. The lounge area was quite large with comfortable furniture to sit, relax and soak up the incredible beauty of the Canadian Rockies.
The dining room at the Chateau offers gourmet delights from delicious entrees to my favorite dessert, Coconut Cream Caramel which was to die for. The service in the restaurant was excellent along with the rest of the hotel. Attention to detail and your every whim catered for is how it works in this magnificent hotel.

We booked a room with a Glacier View, you feel as though you could reach out and touch the Glacier it is so majestic. There is a footpath from the hotel alongside the lake to the bottom of the glacier. We were there in May and the lake was just starting to melt and the aqua color of the water was incredible.. |
